Andrea Coda: “In Catania we lacked that little bit of luck. In Rome to play at out top level”

The bianconeri came back from Sicily with one point: it has moved the table “(standings”?) a little but it also has a bitter taste: “In Catania I felt positive vibrations. It is a pity we did not win. We faced a strong team and created a lot of good chances but in the end we lacked that little bit of luck. We are now more confident. We have to concentrate on one match at a time: now we are focused on the Coppa Italia game and we are going there to play at our top level.”

Alexandre Geijo couldn’t even un-pack his things, everyone wanted him on the training field to train with his new team mates. Today former Racing Santander forward has been presented and welcomed by Udinese General Director Sergio Gasparin himself. Geijo seems keen on starting to work: “I am ready to play. Joining in in (“in” twice?) January means that there is already a complete line-up. Now I have to show I am worth it and win my team mates’ trust”. In Udine Geijo has met his former coach at Levante, De Biasi: “In Valencia the situation was tense and he proved great (“he proved to BE great”?). He is a true professional, he can really communicate with his men, and get along well with them”. Geijo is a central striker, but he also feels at ease in different positions on the pitch: “I am the classic number 9. Despite being so tall, I am quick and sure footed (“sure-footed”?), in Racing Santander we used to adopt the 4-4-1-1 module and I was the deep-lying forward”.The table does not lie for the Bianconeri, it is a delicate moment. The transfer for Geijo is due to arrive tonight, so he could hit the pitch for the ambitious Tim Cup match at the Olimpico tomorrow night: “This is a challenge. I am not scared of Italian football, football is always the same around the world and you have to win your place in the line-up. After defeating Milan at the San Siro (“stadium”?), the bianconeri brushed another win against Catania: “It is a pity we came back with only one point. We deserved to win: we created good chances to score, but in the end we did not manage to (“end phrase with a preposition”?). We are quickly improving under both the psychological and physical point (“points”?) of view. During the last two away matches, we really played with the right attitude so I am sure we are going to Rome to show full concentration and determination”.
The semi-final match against Roma can really be a turning point for the whole campaign (political?): “We are focused on this objective, only four teams have remained (“in the event”?) and we want to do our best to win the competition. A good performance in Rome could (“also”?) help us for the League, too. On Thursday we have an appointment with history”. The Serbian defender about his new position on the pitch (“with regards to the Serbian defender’s new position on the pitch”?): “It was a long time since I played as a central defender but I have felt at ease in my new position. It is not at all a problem if the coach wants me to cover that area of the pitch. Moreover, he (“the”?) defence proved strong and compact and we only conceded one goal in the last three away matches. This is the right path to follow”.

Roma-Udinese on Rai Tre

The match Roma-Udinese, (“the”?) first leg semifinal (“semi-final”?) match of (“the”?) Tim Cup, will be broadcast on Thursday 4th February on Rai Tre at 21,00.

On Friday 26 February Alex Zanardi is meeting (“will be meeting”?) 300 students at the Stadio Friuli

Zanardi is speking ("speaking"?) about his professional and human experience

Alex Zanardi has accepted Udinese’s invitation to speak about his professional and human experience in front of 300 high school students from the province of Udine for a whole exciting and moving morning. The press conference is scheduled on Friday 26 February at 9.30 am at the Auditorium of the Stadio Friuli. Zanardi’s intervention (“talk”?) is part of projects (“is part of the following projects:”?) like “Piccoli Tifosi Crescono”, “Udinese dietro le quinte” and “Scuola di Tifo” developed by Udinese in order to forward the values of sport.
The conference will feature debates, stories, experiences (“and will all be told by…”?) all told by Zanardi, and an autobiographical video where Alex tells us about his career both as a man and a sportsman: from his debut as a young go-kart pilot to his recent commitment for the non profit (“non-profit”?) organization “Bimbingamba”. This is a project Zanardi has proudly developed with the he (“the”?) aim of giving children suffering from similar problems as he had the chance to be cured and be given a prosthesis to live a normal life. Today Zanardi, (“Today, Zanardi, a former…”?) former Formula One pilot who ran with Jordan, Minardi, Lotus and Williams, is still a winning man and an example both for the world of sports and for common people. He is a humble man. If you phone him asking “Is this Mr. Zanardi speaking?” he will answer “Yes it’s me…and thank you for calling me Mr!”. A unique and positive attitude towards life and its harshness, Zanardi has taken part into (“in”?) many competitions for disabled people: he won the (“2009”?) Venice Marathon 2009 with his wheelchair with a record time of 1h13\'56\; he also got an astonishing 4th position in the New York Marathon riding his handbike. Do not miss the appointment with Alex, do not miss the chance to listen to him on Friday 26 February. Together with him, there will be coach Gianni De Biasi plus a group of bianconero players captained by Totò Di Natale. Here is one of Zanardi’s favorite mottoes: «It is important to work hard without missing a second of what you are doing. Sacrifice is nothing provided you do what you do with enthusiasm».
