Udinese...

15-01-2010

“We must come back from Parma with some good points”

“Parma is not living a good moment, (why, someone has died?? Not living a good moment? “Parma’s not going through a great period or moment” would be better) although they have been the revelation (as in the Bible?) team of the first half of the season. There is still some time to think about Milan.”

Giovanni Pasquale finally got the chance to play during the glorious match for the round of sixteen of Coppa Italia against Lumezzane: “It is because of Siqueira’s injury that I got the possibility to play from the first minute. I do not feel at 100%, (literal translation from “Non mi sento al 100%”) but I am working to find the right balance”.
Bianconeri are facing Milan at san (“San” is not lower-case “s”) Siro for the round of eight now: “Yesterday’s victory made us feel more motivated and confident. I would say that against Lumezzane we did a good performance (“we had a good performance”?): we were concrete, (“and…”) made some right choices on the pitch. The important thing was to pass the round, and we did it. Now we are facing Milan, they would do their (“they’ll do their best…”) best to get to the semifinals and I do not think they will spare energies thinking about the imminent local derby. We really want to play this competition from beginning to end, but first, we are playing the league match against Parma this coming Sunday at (“the”) Tardini stadium”.
Pasquale adds: “It won’t be an easy match although they have suffered three defeats in a row since they have showed (“shown”?) they can play really good football. We have to go there fearless and show who we are (“and show them who we are”). It is our duty to play with the right determination and spirit. Our aim is to come back with some good points.”
In the end (what or whose end?), a word about the squad: “We are united, we are all going in the same direction and feel the same deep affection for our uniform”
