Costumers rule, really?

From the November 25^th, 2010 “Sette” magazine (which is part of the “Corriere della Sera”): p. 32 and an article by Beppe Severgnini on Amazon’s big boss, Jeff Bezos: “costumers rule”, or should it be “customers rule”?
