Floro Flores: “The coach is getting the most out of me”
Handanovic: “Not conceding any goal is always pleasant”
Antonio Floro Flores has signed (?, where, on paper?) his second consecutive score at “Friuli”, after the one with Cagliari, whereas Samir Handanovic has nullified, to (???) David Di Michele, his third penalty kick during this championship, after the ones kicked by Eto’ and Barreto. Two protagonists of today’s magnificent win over Lecce. “We have been perfect – explaines (“explains”?) Floro Flores -. We knew Lecce’s features (???), their way of play, and we trained well for that. I’m also glad on a personal level, because I surely like scoring, but most of all I think the coach has found the way how to get the most out of me. I try to move always as the coach wants me to, following his instructions, then when I manage to score, helping my mates, then I’m even happier (run-on sentence!!!). But I think it is important to do your duty for the team’s sake, before the individual’s. We have won a fundamental game, but we can’t stop here since in Rome, next Saturday, we are to face another hard trial”.
By now, Samir Handanovic has become an expert on penalty kicks: “I’m the goalkeeper in order to save the ball (what else ARE you going to save, a banana or a rock?)– says the Slovenian – and I would have been happy even if the referee hadn’t conceded the penalty kick. Today the team did a great job, mostly in the attack (literal translation….), but obviously we, back there, would rather not concede any goal. We know we’re a very worthy team, with some leading individuals, and when we’re all focuse (“focused”?), we can do very well. Rome? I think we’ll go and play frankly (and Frankly agrees too with you on this one!!!). As we always do”.
