Udinese and society???

Pozzo: “Udinese always keep their undertakings”

With regard (“regards”?) to the assertions of a few managers of Snaidero Pallacanestro Amatori Udine, (“which”?) appeared recently in the local newspapers, Udinese’s reference (“main”? or “principle”?) shareholder Gianpaolo Pozzo wanted to express his opinion on the whole affair: “I read it (“I read in the newspapers”?) in the newspapers that Snaidero Basket (“Basketball”?) claim to be in financial straits because Udinese is allegedly unfulfilling towards the “orange” society (“society”?) for the sum of € 500.000. It is absolutely false. Udinese F.C., in fact, have always diligently respected all the undertakings for the last two years, that is when the “orange” President Edy (“Edi”?) Snaidero said he wanted to give up and the Mayor Mr. Honsell involved me in this new adventure for the sake of the Friulian sporting (“Friulian sports”?) movement. According to the first agreement, Udinese should have covered 20% of the losses, and so did we (“and so we did”?)for every recapitalization done so far.

I compliment with (“I compliment”?) our city’s basket (“basketball”?) team for the sport results they obtained, but I cannot do the same for their management results. I got the impression the Club is under-structured, as if it needs a stronger management and a more constant presence. I have great respect both for the President, Edy (“Edi”?) Snaidero and for the VP Massimo Blasoni, who’s young and ardent. That is why I invite him to commit more in the basket (“basketball”) cause. The recent polemics are useless, counter-productive and, most of all, do not make Snaidero Basket (“Basketball”) any good. I wish the incident to stop here and everyone to roll up their sleeves (“in order…”) to carry forward this project, because I believe it deserves to continue existing. If, on the other hand, you want to break the toy, that is the right way to do so. I don’t back out, but I’m not an operative associate, so I cannot get the credits for the excellent sport results, as well as the faults for the management failure.
