Guidolin: “We have to watch out for Pescara’s organization”
After the break, the season starts again with the home
match against Giovanni Stroppa’s Pescara. After a tough start, Pescara have (“has”?)
shown to be able to play hard on everyone, and Francesco Guidolin, during his
pre-match press conference, has highlighted the difficulties of tomorrow
afternoon’s match.
Do you risk to underestimate (“Do you risk underestimating”?) tomorrow’s match? We don’t, the squad are (“is”?) aware of the difficulties and of the opposing team’s ability. Pescara are (“is”?) one point ahead, so we don’t risk to underestimate (“underestimating”?) them. We have to watch out for their organization, their game plans and their preparation. This is what we should take care of.
How important are Basta and Pasquale’s absences? We have a few problems. Basta is still out, as well as Pasquale. I hope they can recover soon, but we don’t have them right now so we have to find some alternatives: Armero and Gabriel Silva on the left, Faraoni and Pereyra on the right. We can do good (“well”?) anyway.
Is Gabriel Silva allowed to play from the kick-off? He is one of the boys born in 1991 who has been preparing with the squad all along. He’s working fine, we’re trying to make him grow and he’s doing better.
Would it be a good idea to have a 18-team Serie A?
I think so. Some of our players will be playing 16 games from here to Christmas. Is it logical to play, in two months, a whole round of the old 18-team championship?
Do you fear for your position?
We are not ranking (“ranked well”?) well, but people are used to our excellent positions of the last years…
What do you think of Muriel and Armero?
They are excellent players, Colombia are made of important players such as Radamel Falcao, who I think is the best player in the world right now. We hope Muriel gets well soon and we wait for Armero to be as shiny (like a star in the sky????) as he was in the first year.
Danilo has played 60 times in 62 games. Do you think it can afflict his performance? These are my choices, I might be wrong, but I have made these choices. If Danilo played in (“with”?) his national team, he wouldn’t be playing so often, but he has the chance to rest during the breaks. At the same time, Coda is growing (in height?) and I can start having more defenders shifting now.
