BARI. Fourth win in a row for Francesco Guidolin’s Udinese which, in (“the”?) championship, go past Bari through the Chilean axis Sanchez-Isla, scorers of the two winning goals, with the fundamental help of Samir Handanovic who is able to save the penalty kick of his former mate Vitor Barreto, at the beginning of the second half, which could have meant Bari’s tie (not much of a run-on sentence, eh?). Despite the eve’s (??) predictions, Guidolin chooses a 3-5-2 with Pinzi as a first-string. Bari is filled with surprises even more, where Ghezzal plays for the first time beside Barreto in attack, Gazzi is preferred to Donati and the twosome Masiello-Pulzetti to Alvarez and Rivas. The home team makes a good start, but after 10 minutes or so the Friulans take control of the game. And at their first, actual chance Udinese goes ahead. At 16mins, Sanchez gets the ball at 25 meters and doesn’t think twice: a rough right-foot kick at the highest corner of the goal that Gillet can’t reach. A beautiful goal, the Chilean’s one (???), and Udinese insist with Inler first, at 22mins, whose left-foot kick is defused with a valiance (???) by Gillet and, then, with Di Natale, 60 seconds after, who receives the ball after a corner and who makes up a brilliant spin right-foot shot which is saved by Bari’s number 1 (what, goalkeeper obviously?). It is still Udinese’s captain, at 29mins, who sprints in the area and tries a right-foot kick, but Gillet is on the alert. Bari’s reaction comes shortly after, at 34mins, with Ghezzal’s slalom who gets the kick wrong and, at the first second half minute, with a wonderful free kick which whistles over the post at Handanovic’s right. The second half opens with the same interpreters (not translators?) who had closed the first one. But after 5mins Barreto enters the penalty area, Zapata faces him with a slither (???) and to Pierpaoli it is worth (???) a penalty kick. It is the Brazilian number 10 to try the kick, but Handanovic is brilliant in clearing the ball at his right right (not left, left???) before Almiron gets his winning tap-in wrong. Udinese’s reply comes thanks to Sanchez who, at 12mins, starts the counter-attack and tries a kick from the edge which is saved by Gillet. And Udinese’s doubling (??), which they would have deserved in the first half, comes at 15mins of second half. Perfect Sanchez’s counter-attack, finding Isla at the right area’s limit, the Chilean runs towards the middle, perfectly meets a right-foot kick that hits the lower part of the crossbar and scores for the 0-2 for Guidolin’s team. Ventura, who had already put in Alvarez instead of Ghezzal, throws in the fray also Rivas (Pulzetti is out) to try and have more strength on the sides, but he only gets a few corners before, at 43mins, Isla finds only the crossbar between him and his second goal.
