Udinese....

Target Chievo: with Morosini in the heart (“in their hearts”?), towards the victory

The championship break due to the tragic death of Piermario Morosini, that has shaken up Udinese, keeps resonating everywhere, but the squad has come back on the pitch to start the preparation in view of the next match scheduled at the Bentegodi stadium against Chievo Verona.

Last year’s win over Chievo, signed (like autographs?? Perhaps “scored” would be a MORE appropriate word?) by the goals scored by Isla and Asamoah, gave Udinese the last boost towards the qualification for the Champions League (“Champions’ League”?) play-off round. This year, it is a fundamental step for the running (??) for the third place and, more in general, for a ranking that could allow coach Guidolin to take part in one of the two European competitions scheduled for next year.

To do so, we will need help from all the squad members at disposal of the coach from Castelfranco Veneto. Benatia, Floro Flores and Basta are getting better since they have trained with the rest of the group. An important signal: emptying (??) the infirmary in such a critical moment is very important to allow the coach to make more choices and have different solutions available on the pitch.
The week ahead of Chievo has started. This match must not be underestimated because Mimmo Di Carlo’s team has already shown to be in shape and to be able to become dangerous, as they did against AC Milan.
