Udinese’s grief for the passing of Fortunato Aveni

The obsequies (we don’t usually use this word in English) of Fortunato Aveni, health responsible (“doctor”?) of Udinese’s youth sector from the late 70s to 1988, were carried out yesterday. He died at the age of 73. Aveni, native (“a native”?) of Messina, had obtained the specialisation in Sports Medicine a few years after his graduation and, later, a specialization in Urology, General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. Udinese Calcio wishes to express its deep sorrow and grief for the loss of the unforgotten doctor.

Antonio Tozzi, Udine ("Udine's"?) police commissioner, explains the bond and the synergy existing ("that exists"?) with Udinese in order to teach young fans the best way to approach football with warm-heartedness and passion. An educational program due to start ("is due to start"?) on 28 August, the first day of Serie A ("the Serie A"?) championship. “We are glad to be involved in the project, it is important to educate young fans in order to have them approach football in a serene way, with the real values of support and good sportsmanship – the police commissioner said -. We want to stay close and take part in all these educational activities”.
