Referee De Faveri from San Doną (???); di Piave has called off (“the”) derby Udinese- Triestina due to adverse weather conditions in Remanzacco. “It is the right decision- says coach Fabio Rossitto – It was just impossible to play on such a pitch, the guys could have hurt themselves badly. The bianconeri are getting ready to face Catania after their Coppa Italia win at the San Siro (“stadium”?): “In Sicily, we are going to play a completely different match. We have to keep the alert alarm (“no need to repeat “alarm”) high because the win against Milan should only be the first step. I want my men to play with an offensive and proud attitude, as they did in Coppa Italia. We know it is not going to be easy because Catania are willing to win too and they have the privilege of playing at home in front of their very supportive fans. They will fight hard and we will have to take advantage of our excellent strikers”. The only thing we still do not know yet is the day of this incredible event: Marcio Dos Santos Amoros has chosen Udine and Udinese to say farewell to football. The former Brazilian Ballon D’Or has contacted the Club to organize the event. The Stadio Friuli, will be crowded with people that would have (“will have”?) the chance to embrace the Brazilian ace for his farewell to football. He played for Guaranì, Verdy Kawasaki, Flamengo, Parma, Borussia Dortmund, Malaga, San Paolo, Milan, Corinthians, Gremio and Aris Salonicco. However, it was in Udine that he debuted and became…. … Amoroso: 38 gols (“goals”? and 86 caps with the bianconera (“biaconero”?) uniform. This spring, Marcio is coming to Udine to fix every detail for this event (“of this event”?), which is probably scheduled for the end of 2010 or at the beginning of 2011. For the “Amoroso-day”, Udinese Calcio is organizing a parade of football stars: Zico, Toninho Cerezo, Careca and other Brazilian players on Marcio’s request. And then his former team mates from Udinese: Bierhoff, Giannichedda, Bertotto, Turci, Locatelli, Poggi, Calori, Rossitto, Jorgensen, Sosa, Walem and many more. In Brazil, the media have given great prominence to the news. All profits deriving from the event, will be given to charity to the bianconera (“bianconero”?) non-profit organization “Udinese per la Vita”, as Amoroso has explicitly asked for. Marcio, not only a football ace but also a man of values who is saying farewell to his passion with an unforgettable, generous gesture.

Call up for Davide Marsura by the Italian Under 16 (“Under-16”?) National Team
Bianconero forward Davide Marsura has received the call-up for the Under 16 National Team for the International Tournament in Algarve, scheduled on (“for”?) 2-9 February in Albufeira, Portugal.
The Italian, Irish, Dutch and Portuguese National teams are taking part into (“into”? Try “in…”!) the competition.
