Udinese...

Guidolin: "When Udinese play like that, I'm the happiest man on earth"
"Great football for one hour. Piotr Zielinski did good (“did well”?). I dedicate this win to the fans".
[ 14.04.2013 ]
Francesco Guidolin feels extremely happy after the good win at the Tardini stadium in Parma: "Without Totò we never did anything great - said the coach from Castelfranco Veneto when asked about the captain's absence - but we played a great match today, managed very well by all players (“all the players”?). The match was not over until the end, but we were good because we never lowered our guard. When Udinese play (“plays”?) like that, I feel the happiest man on earth. Muriel? He played as a champion, but he needs to do better. He can be explosive when he possesses the ball. We are a bit late for the rush for Europe, we must recover but we're back in the running. We expressed our potential only at 60-70% away this year: I keep saying we could have done great things even away, and Parma fans noticed it, and they clapped at us. I dedicate today's win to our fans, who have followed us here. And I was also pleased to receive applauses, I take those memories with me. Muriel and Totò? It's not easy to make them live together, but I have to do it and the group must support them. I had been meaning to make Zielinski play for a long time, he's always great in training sessions. Why today? I got inspired by foreign football, where they make room for younger players in important matches".

Udinese...

150 times Totò: the captain goes… tridimensional!
"Idea Prototipi" will make two statues to portray Di Natale as he scored the goal in Pescara
[ 09.04.2013 ]
Antonio Di Natale is Udinese's recordman (“record man”?). The forward (“The forward is able”?) able to break any exisiting (“existing”?) record wearing Udinese jersey (“wearing the Udinese jersey”?). Udinese captain (“The Udinese captain”?) will get another satisfaction soon: he will be portrayed in a statue made with resin coloured (??) and inserted in a solid (solid what?) of crystalline transparency that, for the first time ever, is developed using a tridimensional scan of the exact position in which Di Natale was as he scored in Pescara his historic 150th goal for Udinese.
Idea Prototipi - the company from Basiliano owned by Massimo Agostini, which had "frozen" Totò's shoes on the occasion of the captain's 100th goal - has "capped" the captain in its laboratory, situated inside the Area Science Park (Padriciano) where the captain underwent a special treatment. Di Natale was photographed using a special technology that allows (“a”?) tridimensional scan with structured light.

A few weeks are needed to finish the works (“the work”?). The "Idea Prototipi" will make two identical copies of the statue: one will be given to the captain and the other will be auctioned to raise money for Udinese (“Udinese’s”?) non-profit organization "Udinese for Life".

"It is a right (??) and proper gift - said Massimo Agostini - not only for the player Di Natale, but also for the man, Totò. We are honoured to make such a statue and, for the first time ever, to use such a technology".

Even Di Natale was thrilled and happy: "It's a honour (“an honour”?)- said the captain - it's a good thing, a really good thing for me, and I am very pleased that Massimo, once again, has proven a great sensibility as he decided to make two copies, one for Udinese for Life. I hope we can raise a good lot of money".
Also Dimitri Quaglia, representative for the Association Udinese Club, was in Padriciano yesterday: "We are happy to collaborate with Idea Prototipi - he said - this project will do good (“do well”?). I thank Udinese Calcio and Di Natale who allowed us to take part in the initiative, we will do our best to raise as much money as we can".

Udinese in prayer (“praying at”?) at Castelmonte Shrine

The squad and the managerial staff took part to the (“in the”?) traditional Mass held in the Friulian shrine
[ 09.04.2013 ]
The annual pilgrimage of Udinese Calcio and its staff to the shrine "Beata Vergine" (“to the “Beata Vergine” shrine”?) in Castelmonte was made yesterday. The spiritual meeting, which has been held since 1994-95, was sealed (as in an envelope?) by the Mass held by the Archbishop of Udine, Monsignor Andrea Bruno Mazzocato, the Archbishop emeritus of Udine Monsignor Pietro Brollo and the Bishop of Concordia-Pordenone Monsignor Giuseppe Pellegrini.
"We are here to ask for the intercession (!!) of the Virgin Mary on what is most important to us: health and affection of our loved ones - said Monsignor Mazzocato, who underlined the importance of the footballers as social examples in such harsh times -. Who was blessed (“Who IS blessed”?) by their destiny must find a way to help others and be an example for all".

"In twenty years I have seen many players, but it's a pleasure to see well-known faces as the coach, Di Natale and Pinzi - said Monsignor Brollo, mentioning the masterpiece scored by the captain against Chievo -. Di Natale really surprised me last Sunday with an extremely beautiful athletic gesture. I'd love to address a special greeting to the director of this orchestra, coach Guidolin, for the harmony he's created in such a variegated (????) group".
The Mass was closed by Monsignor Pellegrini with a special wish to all the footballers: "May you all be a sign of communion and happy coexistence for the young generations".

After the Mass, Udinese captain (“Udinese’s captain”?) Di Natale presented the three bishops with three jerseys.

Udinese...

Domizzi: "Playing sport helps! We want to win with Chievo"
Udinese defender teacher for a day at the Liceo Copernico in Udine
[ 04.04.2013 ]
Professor for a day for an important cause: Maurizio Domizzi made a speech earlier today in (“at”?) the Liceo Copernico of Udine in order to make aware (“to inform” or “to warn”?) the young students during the 17th stop (?) of the initiative "Don't score an own-goal", promoted by the AIOM (Italia Association of Medical Oncology) in collaboration with the Presidency of the Council, the Coni and FIGC.
The conference saw the participation of the head of the Liceo, Andrea Carletti, together with the AIOM representatives Fabio Puglisi and Simon Spazzapan.  (“The”?) Udinese defender talked about a number of themes, bringing his experience to the students who attended the meeting: "Professor? Don't overdo it - said Maurizio - I'm here to give my testimony of what can be the right life style (“life-style”?) to try and have an healthy (“a healthy”?) life and prevent many problems. I found out for myself that something little is enough to make important steps".

Sport has a fundamental role in the sensibilization (???) campaign, at its third edition, by involving all the Serie A team (“teams”?) in 16 Italian cities: "I think sportsmen can be a good example, but everybody, though without being a professional, can make the most of some physical activity with little sacrifice and with few daily expedients (???) that can turn out to be very helpful. Just a quick example: after just one week of inactivity, in the summer, I feel the urge to train, to run a bit, because it is a personal need and a good habit".

Topics also close to Udinese Calcio, which has an important tool to be close to social issue thorugh (“through”?) the non-profit organization Udinese for Life: "Especially here in Udine, more than any other city, the team and the club represent an entire region. We must build on this as the sporting exploits and Udinese have a great impact on the region. The children here are still too young, but in the fourth and fifth grade they are not so distant from the age of our youth. Making a joke for the students we can say that today we still have time to straighten them out a bit! It is not easy because we were all young, if you can help your kids with a little advice and even just with our presence and witness (to an accident?), you do it very willingly ".

Domizzi obviously answered the questions concerning the next championship match in the league against Chievo: "We want to get back to winning because we haven't won for a bit. Despite having recently faced top clubs, because before Bologna we had faced Napoli and Roma and got two good draws, we haven't won at home for too long. Hopefully Sunday may be the right time, the occasion can be right because they are a good team with a good ranking, but at the Friuli we can win against any opponent, and we want to start on Sunday ".

About young people, Domizzi expresses his feelings on the attitude of the very young players who played last Saturday: "Udinese (“Udinese’s”?) young players are always given the opportunity to show off, the test is every day . these (“These”?) last eight matches will be interpreted as all the others, there will be no experiments and as usual the players on top condition will play. Our young people have always had their chances, do not think of this as a showcase or a trampoline (???) for someone."

Finally, when connected to Rai Sport, Domizzi mentioned the chance of qualifying for a continental event for the upcoming season and the current form (“shape”?) of Captain Antonio Di Natale: "Europe has always had a special charm compared to the championship, but this year I believe that the strength and organization of the teams that precede us make everything much more difficult, though not impossible. It's just a bad period for Totò, if he had scored the penalty everyone would have forgotten his brief abstinence. He will come close to scoring 20 goals even this year, I am ready to bet that you (you or he as in Di Natale???) will reach that threshold."
