Pozzo: “This is not Totò’s last birthday as a footballer”
Gianpaolo Pozzo had to be part of Udinese Captain
birthday (“Udinese’s captain’s birthday”?)! He could not miss the celebration
for the 35th birthday of our captain, the symbol of his 20-year management of
the club (hasn’t Pozzo been managing the club for 26 years?).
“I want to wish our Captain a happy birthday from me and my family (“from my family and I”?) – Udinese chairman (“Udinese’s chairman”?) said -. When Totò first came here in Udine (“to Udine”?) he was just a boy and I was confident in his abilities, but honestly I could have never imagined he would (“that he would”?) become the symbol of our Club and the most important player of my 26-year management!” (here instead it’s 26 years).
This acknowledgement is due both to the exceptional talent of Di Natale on the pitch and to the extraordinary things he has done so far.
“His talent is not a matter of discussion – Pozzo said -. But what really stroke me (???) the most, in all these years, is his incredible helpfulness (“help”?) towards the Club, the town of Udine and my family: he is like an adopted son to me. Andf (“And”?) I am sure this is not his last birthday as a footballer”.
Yet, time passes for all, but Gianpaolo Pozzo has clear ideas on the future of “King Totò”.
“I am sure Di Natale will stay in Udine also at the end of his extraordinary career – the chairman said -. Which role? Whenever he, he alone, will decide to quit, I’d love him to start a path for young players. Totò is an example for young boys, both inside and outside the pitch, he’s the right person to teach football – and life – to the new generations” (let’s hope though that he DOESN’T teach anyone English!!!!!).

“Someone
thought Reginaldo de Matos Maicosuel had gone, disappeared, but it isn’t so.
The Wizard has been here all along as I want to play for Udinese”.
So said – in exclusive (“in an exclusive interview”?) for Udinese Channel – Udinese number 77 who, after the unlucky night against Sporting Braga, has shown to be a talented player in the away game in Naples. “To play is very important to me – “the wizard” (“wizard or Wizard”?) said – and I am happy because I played as a first string player in Naples and I can feel to be trusted by the coach, the squad, the staff and the Club. Trust is fundamental to play at my best. I think Udinese are growing (“is growing”?), we weren’t going through a good period, but we’re out of it and we’ve managed to do so as a squad. We, the foreigners, are adjusting in well (“are adjusting well”?) and we aim at working hard to do better and better and to be ready whenever the coach needs us”.
