Guidolin: “Bring home a positive score”

Udinese need (“needs”?) to make a virtue out of necessity in view of the away game in Rome for the late match of this 14th championship week and, most of all, they need to show they have passed over the tough Europa League elimination: “We’ll be talking about Europa League one last time when we face Liverpool – said the coach in today’s press conference – and we will take a look at the 20 international games played in the last two years. The championship doesn’t wait and we are about to face a tough away game. It’s not easy to fight for the first place (“for first place”?) as we did in the past few years. The table doesn’t smile at us (???), we could gain three points just by being a bit more attentive. We need to try and climb it up (???), but we know how hard an away match at the Olimpico can be”.

What do you think of Lazio?
“They are good team, we should do everything to try and bring home a positive result. This is our task. Lazio have been doing great for the past two years and have been playing together for quite a lot (“have been playing together for quite a long time”?). Lazio are talented and Petkovic is doing a great job. The performances of his players say so. And Reja had done so too. They didn’t reach the Champions League (“Champions’ League”?) for one point” (“as a result of one point”?).
Are you worried about Basta’s absence?
“I am concerned with many issues that needs (“needs to be resolved”?) resolving. I want to have the available (“available players”?) ones at their best. The squad is doing fine but the season is turning out to be quite an unlucky one. Fabbrini and Barreto are out too”.
What do you think of Candreva?
“His virtues are not in discussion (literal translation from Italian: “Non sono in discussione”?). With Lazio he found the self-confidence he needed. Rome is his ideal place”.
Do you think this is going to be a hard-fought match?
“I don’t think so, I think there will be the usual competitive charge. The past two seasons were great and we faced this match with honesty”.

New Friuli stadium: areas devoted to hospitality increased!

A series of changes to the project of upgrading the Friuli stadium in Udine to create an even more developed system of areas dedicated to fans (“fans’?”) hospitality in the heart of the new black and white “basin”. It was decided a few days ago by Udinese Calcio to further improve the design of the "new" Friuli and, above all, to meet the demands of the fans over the last few months.

"The changes we have asked to put in the project for the new stadium - said Alberto Rigotti - collect (???) the requests made by our supporters in recent times and fall into the scope of the structural changes improvements (“changes and improvements”?)that we believe are fundamental to give the city of Udine and Udinese fans a friendly, modern and comprehensive stadium, on the model (“based on the model”?) of English and German stadia. Our fans, especially after the away game in Liverpool where they could see one of the true temples of world football, have reported on several occasions that the concept of hospitality at the stadium should be implemented to get as close as possible to the standards of the best European stadia. And thus comes the desire to change some aspects of the original design. "

A series of specific variants on the subject (“There are a series of variants on the subject”?), but that will not affect the time schedule of the start of the renovation of the Friuli stadium. "Our idea is to use for the hospitality areas - said the Administrative Manager - some areas like the lower part of the grandstand, that in the original project would not have been open to the public. For this reason we have asked the municipal committees responsible, as well as the local authorities concerned, for a couple of weeks to submit the modified draft and release their opinions for the continuation of the process. In any case, I say to our fans not to worry, because the procedure for the construction site has already begun and this fortnight will not affect the timetable previously estimated and which schedules (???) the start of these renovation works (“renovations”?) for the beginning of May. "
