"Generous
and combative performance"
Guidolin: "Four-man defence? We've tried that.
It's a solution we have tried many times when training and in friendly
matches".
This Sunday's night match between
Udinese and AC Milan is a particular challenge. The return of Mario Balotelli
has fired up the enthusiasm of AC Milan fans and adds to the concerns of our
coach, Guidolin: "It is going to be a tough match indeed - said the coach
in today's press conference -. AC Milan are in good shape and we should say
"bravissimo" to Allegri because he's managed to give life to a squad
with many new faces. He has found De Sciglio, he had El Shaarawy mature (like
an apple?) and launched Niang. We face the fittest team of the season. We
cannot make mistakes".
Will you be using any particular
expedients (!!!)?
"We have tried four-man defence
many times. It's a solution we have tried many times when training and in
friendly matches"
What do you ask your squad (“What do
you ask of your squad”?)?
"They must be generous and
combactive (“combative”?) to try and give trouble to AC Milan. We must enhance
the quality".
You can finally rely on our Moroccan
defender, Benatia..
"He has been training the whole
week with the group. He came back from South Africa in perfect shape, not as he
did one year ago, when he needed a fortnight to recover completely. All the
players are available this time".
The first away game after Turin's
4-0. How are you going to face it?
"We should take Turin's defeat
to heart to prepare for this match. I repeat, AC Milan are the strongest team
of the season, they are doing great".
What do you think of Balotelli's
signing?
"He is a potential top player,
he has good qualities. He's back to Italy, (“back in Italy”?) which is
important to our football. I am not concerned only by him, but also by Pazzini.
Their recent performances have given them a boost".
What do you think of the referee's change?
"I didn't even know about it. I
respect all referees, I don't inquire about the person who is going to referee
my matches. We are the makers of our own destiny".
