Handanovic: 40 points is the main goal
Inler: Three tough games in barely seven days
Udinese’s goalkeeper Samir Handanovic and midfielder Gokhan Inler have been interviewed this afternoon from Infront Italy’s crew (??), editor of “Serie A Show”. The official Lega Calcio’s magazine is designed on the model of “Premier League Preview”, produced by the British Football Association, (“and”?) dedicated to the foreign market and spread worldwide in 58 countries. Between one question and another on their professional careers, the interview has also been a chance to analyse Udinese’s positive moment.
“Right now all we think (“all we’re thinking about”?) about are those 40 points –said Samir Handanovic-. After nine days of championship, making proclamations is neither right nor earnest. I might have said it already, but our main goal is to avoid relegation. Then, in that case, when we reach those fateful points, we’ll be free to fight for other goals and get some satisfaction (like the Rolling Stones?). What is different compared to the beginning of the championship? Probably, the four matches we lost in a row taught us a lot and, though it wasn’t easy, we got up again. But I think it also depended on the fact that many had played (“in”?) the World Cup and had to work off South Africa’s after-effects. I don’t think that the scarcity of goals is actually a problem. The most important thing is indeed our very little suffering (?) and the good players we have as forwards, as (or “such as”?) Di Natale, Sanchez, Denis, Floro Flores and Corradi.. we don’t need to worry.” High concentration (??) in view of the upcoming three matches in seven days, says Gokhan Inler. “Cagliari, Catania and Lecce-said the Swiss midfielder- represent three hard obstacles to pass and we’ll need to be careful and keep doing our best. Guidolin? He’s the core of the team. To me, he is a Swiss to (or “too”?): a great worker, a person who does his best and wants the best in order to take this team higher and higher in (“the”?) ranking.”
