Cuban missile crisis, in 1982?

I had to do a double-take on this one.  Angelo Aquaro in the April 22, 2012 “La Repubblica” daily said that “Exactly three decades ago everyone believed that with the Cuban Missile Crisis…”. Three decades ago?  But that, if my maths are correct, would only put us at 1982! 

Wasn’t the Cuban Crisis between JFK and Nikita Khrusciov actually in 1962, that is FIVE DECADES AGO???
