Udinese and its lions!

28-08-2012

The night of nights

Some nights write history, some nights make it all worthwhile. Some nights can be given only by such a competitions (“by such a competition”?) as the Champions League (“Champions’ League”?). The draw in Braga six days ago is but a memory because destiny, just like 365 days ago, passes by the same point. The Friuli. Home to Udinese, it hosts the Champions League (“Champions’ League”?) second-leg play-off tie. 90 minutes to bring Udinese back in the most important European competition surrounded by a magical sound.

People, town, Club, team. All together to try and fulfill a dream that passes through a friendly ground (??), there where your emotions can be shared with your own people. Our people. From them the major boost must come (“The major boost must come from them”?): Guidolin’s squad needs to be encouraged by the roaring (like lions?) of its stadium, full of love and proudness (“pride”?) for those who take the field with one single aim.

Once again the opponent is tough and hard to understand, because Braga have no intention of being the spectators of an already-written script. To run, to sweat, to fight, to score. One goal, one aim. The coach has trained his squad at best. They, the protagonists of this tale, know what needs to be done and what was not done against Arsenal one year ago. What must be avoided this time.
One night under a Friulian sky turning black and white. Let the lights shine on. Let them play. Fuarce Udin!
